It has been six months of waiting, but the Google Pixel Buds 2020 is finally here.
Officially unveiled last year, the second-gen Pixel Buds are a pair of true wireless earbuds, unlike the original in 2017 which used a cord to connect the left and right buds.
As Google’s latest attempt to compete with the likes of Apple AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds+, the Pixel Buds features 12-mm speaker drivers, touch controls, deep integration with the Google Assistant, and support for any Bluetooth 4.0+ devices running on Android or iOS.
Google Pixel Buds use Adaptive Sound to detect ambient noise and accordingly adjust the volume on the fly. The earbuds can last up to five hours of music playback (or 2.5 hours for talk time) or up to 24 hours with the egg-shaped charging case.
The Google Pixel Buds are available for a price of $179 (approx. ₱9,050) at the search giant’s online store and Best Buy.
