The Vivo TWS Earphone Neo, the earphone accessory to come bundled with the X50 flagship phones, has just been unveiled by Vivo.
With a design that runs specifically for the TWS applications, the true wireless headset’s performance is powered by a 4th generation Qualcomm chip.
According to Vivo, the accessory features a Bluetooth 5.2 technology, which produces a “near CD quality” audio via the aptX Adaptive.
As a technology known for its inherent issue with latency, the Vivo TWS Earphone Neo addresses the issue by incorporating a 88ms low-latency mode, which makes for perfect use during gaming and video calls.
With a pair of drivers measuring at 14.2mm, the TWS Earphone Neo has a significantly large drivers but is capable generating sound based on one of three distinct DeepX modes—bass, voice, or high frequencies.
Although giving off high-quality audio output is one of the functions of the TWS Earphone Neo, it is also capable of taking audio outputs as well, thanks to its pair microphone system.
Each microphone is capable of filtering out a significant portion of some background noise via its noise cancellation. Built to survive against water spills, the wireless earphone is IP54-rated.
The earphone’s battery life can last between 5.5 hours (AAC) and 4.2 hours (aptX Adaptive), depending on usage preference. Listening time can, however, be extended to 27 hours when using the charging case which itself is chargeable via USB Type-C.
The Vivo TWS Earphone Neo is currently available in China for a price of 500 yuan or around Php3,500 before taxes in the Philippines.
