LinkedIn, a social platform owned by Microsoft known for professional networking and recruitment, confirmed that they are working to add games on its platform.

No, it’s not just any games you normally see on the app store. Being LinkedIn, the games are meant for professionals and companies. The report suggests that the platform wants to replicate the similar success that basic games like Wordle have experienced.

The initial games being developed are called Blueprint, Crossclimb, and Queens.

An app researcher named Nima Owji found evidence that LinkedIn is working on a game that involves player scores set up by companies. The companies will then be ranked based on those scores.

In a comment given to TechCrunch, a LinkedIn spokesperson confirmed that they are testing the idea of adding “puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations.”

The company is yet to announce when the LinkedIn gaming feature will be available to users.
