If you’re not aware, Honor made an impressive feat by using a flagship processor on the Honor Play. But is it enough to make it dominate the V11? Or can Vivo’s newborn swerve its way to victory? That’s what we’re about to see.

To no one’s surprise, the Honor Play easily wins this specs battle. But to Vivo V11’s credit, it does have some features that are superior to the Honor Play.

For starters, it sports an in-display fingerprint scanner which the Honor Play and other smartphones today lacks. Also, having this feature means that Vivo used a Super AMOLED screen for the V11, as that kind of biometrics feature only work with this kind of display panel.

The gorgeous screen looks more appealing thanks to its smaller “Halo” notch, which also houses its 25-megapixel front camera. Partnered with its camera software that’s geared for selfies, you would surely enjoy taking self-portraits on this thing.

Vivo also incorporated their new dual-engine fast-charging technology on the V11, so you can top it up fast. It also has 6GB of RAM, which is 2GB more from the 4GB of memory of the competition.

But other than that, it’s pretty much a landslide victory for the Honor Play. As stated earlier, it brags a flagship processor. Its Kirin 970 chipset is the same brain that can be found on the Huawei P20 Pro, which is almost three times its price.

That processor is partnered with a powerful Mali-G72 MP12, which can be further amplified with Honor’s GPU Turbo technology. You can see its detailed performance in our gaming review of the Honor Play .

The Honor Play also has a 3,750mAh battery, which is relatively bigger than the 3,400mAh battery found on the Vivo V11. In addition, the 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear shooters on the Honor Play is more appetizing than the 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel primary cameras on the Vivo V11.

What’s more interesting is, the Honor Play is significantly cheaper than the Vivo V11. It has a retail price of only Php15,990. On the other hand, we still don’t know the official pricing of the Vivo V11 until September 11. However, we do expect it to retail near the converted price from India, which is around ~Php19,500.

But due to the lack of available stocks of the Honor Play, the Vivo V11 might be more accessible once it launches in the Philippines a week from now.
