There’s no best time to get a smartphone than today. No matter what your budget is, rest assured that there are tons of great devices out there waiting for you.
For one, the midrange smartphones right now offer good designs and really capable performance that there’s almost no reason for your to get a more expensive high-end one, unless you’re really into that lavish lifestyle.
Brands like Vivo, who has been offering some interesting midrange devices for the longest time, and they became really good at what they do best. Their latest release, the Vivo V11, brings a slew of innovations on the table at the fraction of the price of most top-caliber devices.
Moreover, Samsung, one of the biggest names in the Android space, has also shifted a lot of their attention to making their midrange products more appealing. Something that we clearly saw on the new Samsung Galaxy A7 2018.
In our Vivo V11 versus Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 specifications and features comparison, we’re about to see which between these budget-friendly, high-powered devices is the right choice for you. Let’s start!

Based on the table above, both the Vivo V11 and Samsung Galaxy A7 218 are interesting devices. However, the former was able to slightly outshine the latter due to its cool features, which makes the price premium you’d be paying reasonable.
For around Php2,000 more, you can enjoy the V11’s futuristic in-display fingerprint scanner, an extra 2GB of RAM, and a relatively large 3,400mAh battery with dual-engine fast-charging technology.

But if those things don’t mean much to you, you might want to save some money and settle with Samsung’s offering. This device sports the same FHD+ Super AMOLED panel, a generous 64GB of storage, and an almost identical performance with its Exynos 7885 processor.
If anything, the Galaxy A7 2018 offers a better set of cameras on the back. What we have here is a triple camera setup that consists of a 24-megapixel sensor with a wide f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel one with a 120-degree wide-angle view, and an extra 5-megapixel depth sensor.
On the other hand, the Vivo V11 only has a single 12-megapixel primary shooter with an extra 5-megapixel camera that’s only used for the portrait mode. On the upside, the V11’s 25-megapixel selfie camera is better than the 24-megapixel sensor of the latter Samsung Galaxy A7 2018. It also has tons of face beauty effects and tons of filters that are fun to use.
We also expected Samsung to skip the trendy in-display fingerprint scanner this time, just like what they did on the Galaxy Note 9. However, we give them plus points by trying to be creative as they relocated the fingerprint scanner on the side, which provided a cleaner look on the back.
To wrap it up, the Vivo V11’s modern in-display fingerprint scanner and fast-charging technology make it a compelling option for Php19,999. But if you want something that’s more practical, then the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is what you should be looking at.
Both the phones are quite similar. Vivo has 6 GB ram whereas Samsung has 4 GB. However Samsung is a bit cheaper than Vivo which makes it a better deal for me.
Thanks for sharing, have a good day. :)
