The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus was just made available in the Philippines. This also means that it will have to take on a lot of competition here in the country, even the locally-branded smartphones.
One of the few devices that may stand a chance is the Cherry Mobile Flare S6 Plus — one of the best smartphones that the local company have as of now.
The Flare S6 Plus came from a family of Cherry Mobile devices that are targeted to the masses. They all have a cheap price tag and bountiful spec sheets. But the thing is, that is also the main mantra of almost every Xiaomi devices — especially the Redmi 5 Plus.

The majority of the rounds in this battle were clearly won by the Redmi 5 Plus. However, the Flare S6 Plus didn’t lose without a fight.
The Redmi 5 Plus’ larger and sharper 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS screen has clearly destroyed the 5.7-inch HD+ panel found on the Flare S6 Plus. Xiaomi’s offering also has a newer version of Android, better chipset, and a noticeably larger battery.

The Redmi 5 Plus is now available on both Xiaomi’s official Lazada store or via their official authorized Mi stores in TriNoma and SM Megamall. On the other hand, you can get the Flare S6 Plus in Cherry Mobile stores, kiosks, and third-party resellers nationwide.
