New multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Pokemon Unite is set to be released next month.

The Pokemon Company revealed that the Nintendo Switch version will go live first in July, while the mobile version for Android and iOS is scheduled for September.

Cross-play between the two platforms is planned, but there’s no information yet on when will that come. Aside from battling against each other on different platforms, the company says it will also be possible to sync progress between them.

In addition to the official release date of Pokemon Unite, a new cinematic trailer was also unveiled. It features tons of Pokemon like Snorlax, Mr. Mime, Scorbunny, and the well-loved Pikachu.

Like traditional MOBAs, each Pokemon will have roles ranging from attacker, supporter, speedster, and all-arounder. Everyone will be able to play casually in normal queue, while serious players can push their skills to the limit in ranked mode.

Here are the initial characters that will be available in Pokemon Unite:

  • Pikachu
  • Alolan Ninetales
  • Greninja
  • Cinderace
  • Venusaur
  • Cramorant

  • Snorlax
  • Slowbro
  • Crustle

  • Absol
  • Talonflame
  • Gengar

  • Wigglytuff
  • Mr. Mime
  • Eldegoss

  • Charizard
  • Machamp
  • Lucario
  • Garchomp

Pokemon Unite is a free-to-play game, so it will make its money by dressing up the Pokemon characters and trainers through skins, akin to Mobile Legends.
