For a short while, the Sony PlayStation 5 had a product listing on Amazon France together with what seemed to be the official price and launch date.

While the product listing has already been taken down, savvy users such as tech leaker Ben Geskin managed to take a screenshot of the page. Geskin’s screenshot shows that the Sony PlayStation 5 will launch with a €499.99 (approx. ₱28,150) price tag for the standard model and €399.99 (~₱22,600) for the disc-less Digital Edition (direct prices conversion before PH taxes).

As for the release date, the PlayStation 5 will apparently become available on November 20, 2020. That’s within the holiday shopping season in the US and just a week before Black Friday.

More or less the listed prices and release date for the PlayStation 5 seem reasonable, especially when considering the improved hardware apparently making the PS5 a hundred times faster than the PS4.

The alleged prices also seem more fair than a prior leaked pre-order price of $699 (~₱35,000). For comparison, the launch prices of the PlayStation 3 and 4 were $599 and $399, respectively.

Note that, however, Sony itself has not made any official announcements for the price and date, so take any leaked information with a grain of salt.
