Steam Deck is one of the reasons why PC gaming has become more interesting. It allows PC gamers to play anywhere and anytime they want, even when they’re far away from their desktop machines or without lugging around a heavy gaming laptop.
While the Steam Deck isn’t directly available in the Philippines, there are a couple of local gaming stores that are actually offering it, allowing Filipino gamers to experience this portable handheld gaming machine. You can check them out below.

For a quick recap, the Steam Deck is a Nintendo Switch-like handheld gaming console that allows you to play PC games available on Steam and runs on the company’s own interface — not Windows, unlike other similar machines.
Under the hood, it is powered by an APU that consists of an AMD Zen 2 and RDNA 2. It then has a 7-inch touchscreen sandwiched by shoulder triggers, grip buttons, and a thumbstick for PC-like controls. An on-screen keyboard pops up if you need to type anything.

Steam claims you can play for up to 8 hours with its 40Wh battery. It also has stereo speakers with HiFi, dual microphones, and a single USB Type-C port, which you can expand using an adapter or USB hub so you can plug in accessories like external drives, display, mouse and keyboard, and more.

As an alternative, you can check the Razer Edge 5G, which is a dedicated Android console. But if you want something more robust, there are products like the ONEXPLAYER Mini that runs on Windows 11 and has a more powerful Ryzen CPU.
