Apple has finally discontinued the infamous butterfly keyboard with the release of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro 2020 is the final transition to the new Magic Keyboard, following the latest MacBook Air and 16-inch MacBook Pro. We have personal experience with the butterfly keys on a 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro and we’re glad that no one will experience that clunky and fragile keyboard ever again.

Also new is the 2.0GHz Intel 10th-Gen Core i5 processor. However, you wouldn’t have that unless you get the top-of-the-line model. The base and mid variant only come with a 1.4GHz 8th-Gen Intel Core i5 chipset.

The TouchBar is still here, but now with the escape button and TouchID on its own. Speaking of the fingerprint scanner, the MacBook Pro 2020 model comes with Apple T2 security chip that encrypts related data.

Apple laptops are known as a great companion for creatives. Other than the new processor that can nail Final Cut Pro X and Adobe apps, it has a 13-inch Retina display with wide P3 color coverage, sRGB, True Tone technology, and maxes out at 500-nits of brightness.

There’s also Apple’s famous MacBook stereo speakers, which is hailed as one of the best in the industry.
