Acer’s Aspire laptops have, for years, catered to the budget market—giving consumers quality laptops at an affordable price. Living up to that reputation, the laptop maker is adding two new options to the line-up as it launches the Acer Aspire Go 15 (AG15-31P) and the Aspire Go 14 (AG14-31P).
Both laptop models use Intel’s budget processors—the Core N series—which it launched last January. Both processors share the same “Gracemont” efficiency cores found within Intel’s Alder Lake.
For those with a higher budget, there is a higher-performance variant of the Aspire Go 14—the AG14-21P model—which comes pre-built with an AMD Ryzen 7000 mobile processor. Interested buyers will have to pay $379.99 for this model, however.
Display-wise, the Aspire Go 14 comes with a bigger display resolution at 1920×1200 versus the Aspire Go 15’s 1920×1080. Those looking to get the most from the device have the option to expand to up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory as well as 1 TB of PCI Gen 3 SSD storage. Both models are also embedded with a 720p camera, 50Wh batteries, as well as 802.11ac/ax WiFi capabilities.
At 0.74 inches thick, both the Aspire Go 14 and Aspire Go 15 are considered relatively thick by today’s standards, though weighing differently at 3.28 pounds and 3.86 pounds, respectively.
Meanwhile, Acer is also shipping a new rendition of the widely acclaimed Aspire Vero 16 model—the company’s eco-friendly option to traditional laptops. With far superior specs than the Aspire Go across the board, the Aspire Vero 16 has a starting price of $749.99.
