Dell’s XPS line have been one of the most popular laptops for creatives and professionals. Now, it’s getting a refresh with the new Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17.

Just like the new MacBooks, Dell has taken the courage and completely removed USB Type-A ports in favor of Type-C on both the new Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17. Thankfully, there are three of them (for on the XPS 17), plus other input that most professionals still ned.

There are two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C ports on one side and one (two on the XPS 17) on the other, with power delivery and DisplayPort support. Dell also included a headphone/mic combo jack, wedge-shaped lock, and thankfully, an SD card reader.

The Dell XPS 15 gets the most-requested update. The screen now spans at 15.6-inches, thanks to the eliminated chin bezels, resulting to a 16:10 aspect ratio. You can get it with either a 4K touchscreen or FHD non-touch display.

There’s an option between 56Wh and 86Wh batteries and 90W or 130W of Type-C charger.

As for the internals, the Dell XPS 15 can be rigged with up to a 10th-Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, 4K touchscreen, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti 4GB Max-Q for USD2499.99 (~Php126,500).

The XPS 15 base model is available for USD1,299.99 (~Php65,800) and comes with a 10th-Gen Intel Core i5-10300H CPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, FHD non-touch display, and Intel UHD graphics. It’s now available in the U.S., Canada, and in select European and Asian markets.

The Dell XPS 17 will share the same aspect ratio and trimmed ports. But this time, with a larger 17-inch screen. It’s the XPS 17’s comeback after almost ten years, possibly to compete with the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

It comes with new up-firing speakers. You also have the option to choose between a 56Wh and 86Wh batteries and 90W or 130W of Type-C charger.
