The OPPO INNO Day 2020 just wrapped up the Chinese tech company showcased some of its latest development strategies and cool new product concepts.

The coolest thing they talked about is the new OPPO X 2021 rollable concept phone. Now that we have market-ready foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Razr 5G, we now move to rollable phones.

This concept will feature three of OPPO’s own technologies, forged by its own R&D. There’s the Roll Motor powertrain, a 2-in-1 plate, and a Warp Track high-strength screen laminate.

It starts as a regular 6.7-inch screen and stretches to tablet-lie 7.4-inches, which OPPO claims have a continuously variable OLED panel.

No official specs have been revealed as the main highlight here is the display tech itself. But, if a market-ready foldable phone does get released, we expect nothing but flagship hardware from it. That should include Snapdragon 800 series CPU, killer cameras, and possibly no less than of 60W fast charging.

OPPO also revealed its AR Glass 2021 concept. It features a split design, which makes it really compact and lightweight. It’s nearly 75% lighter than its predecessor.

For an enhanced experience, the new AR glass is built with Birdbath optical solution. It even comes with three cameras: a regular RGB lens, a ToF sensor, and a fisheye lens for a wide field-of-view.

OPPO claims that it can do a 3D spatial localization calculation in a snap, creating a more realistic AR world for the users. Moreover, traditional features are present, like smartphone interaction, gestures, and more.

Being concept products, we don’t have any pricing and availability details for you. However, you can surely expect the new technologies you’ve seen here in future OPPO products.
