Apple announced three new smartphones last week. There’s the new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. And to nobody’s surprise, all three smartphones came with high price tags.
This gave tons of Android OEMs a chance to throw shade to one of their biggest competitor — Apple. A few of them published posts on their social media accounts that disses the Cupertino-based tech company.
But out of all those shady posts, Xiaomi did something really clever by introducing their own iPhone product bundles. Xiaomi used the name of the new iPhones and came up with interesting product bundles that have the same price for every three models.
To start, we have the Xiaomi XR bundle. It includes the top-of-the-line Mi 8 SE model with a 6GB/128GB configuration, a 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air (8GB/256GB), the new Mi Band 3, and the Mi Bluetooth headset mini. All of that for a price of only CNY6,499 (~Php51,300), which is the same starting price of the iPhone XR in China.
Next stop, we have the Xiaomi XS bundle. Instead of getting a single iPhone XS smartphone, you can instead have a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S (8GB/256GB), a larger 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air, and the same Mi Band 3 and Bluetooth headset. All of that for a price of a single iPhone XS base model, which is at CNY8,699 (~Php68,700).
Lastly, we have the Xiaomi XR Max bundle. This comes with Xiaomi’s current flagship smartphone, the Mi 8 (6GB/128GB), the Mi Notebook Pro, Mi Band 3, and a Xiaomi Neckband earphones.
On the downside, all these promos are only exclusive to China. However, it does provide us an insight on how many gadgets you can already get for a price of a single iPhone. In this case, you’re not only getting a new smartphone with Xiaomi’s bundle, but also a new laptop, a smart band, and a wireless headphone. Pretty much all of the gizmos that you use every day.
