ASUS has teased a new device on their Facebook page — a product that’s expected to be the highlight of their Computex booth this year.

The teaser photo shows a silhouette of a mystery product. It has two rounded shapes at the bottom, which mimics the look of a console controller. The photo also has the words “coming soon” and a June 4th date, which is just a couple of days from now.

We tried putting the image in Adobe Lightroom and maxed out the exposure — and voila! We got a more detailed look at ASUS’ mystery device.

The product showcased looks like a smartphone that’s attached to a gaming controller. And since this will be under ASUS’ Republic of Gamers brand, it’s safe to assume that this is indeed an upcoming gaming smartphone.

This means that ASUS is now ready to take on other gaming smartphones in the industry today. This device will be facing the Razer Phone, the Xiaomi-backed Black Shark, and even ZTE’s Nubia Red Magic.

It has a slew of aesthetic accents that match ROG’s design language. From the sharp orange cutout on the earpiece, orange power button, and what not.

Another take away from this photo is that the game controller it goes with looks noticeably large. It also looks like there’s a secondary screen from where the actual buttons should go. However, we can never tell for sure.

What we are certain is that it will boast all of the best hardware around. It is also highly possible that ASUS wouldn’t miss the chance to boost their Aura lighting technology.

But until then, we’ll just have to wait and see what’s this mysterious ASUS ROG smartphone would look like. Its official unveiling is just two days away, so we don’t have to wait for long.
