It looks like OPPO is preparing another addition to their OPPO R17 line-up. As per this latest leak, an OPPO R17 Neo smartphone is reportedly in the works with toned-down specs compared to its bigger brothers.
The OPPO R17 Neo will arrive with a 6.41-inch AMOLED screen. Having this kind of screen might mean that it will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, just like the new OPPO K1.
One of the main compromises that the R17 Neo has over the standard R17 and R17 Pro is the processor used. The leaked documents show that the OPPO R17 Neo will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, with 4GB of RAM and a generous 128GB of internal storage.
There’s also a 25-megapixel front-facing camera on the front and a dual 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel shooters on the back. That’s identical to what we saw on the OPPO F9. It will also come with a 3,500mAh battery, although it’s not yet stated if it will sport OPPO’s VOOC fast-charging technology.
The official launch date and pricing are yet to be known. But recently, OPPO Philippines teased the imminent arrival of their R-series line-up here in the country. With that, there’s a huge chance that the OPPO R17 Neo will have an official debut here in the Philippines.
