Vivo’s iQOO brand is expected to launch the Z1x smartphone pretty soon.
The device will be a downgraded version of the iQOO Z1, which is a gaming-oriented mid-range phone with a Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset and 44W super-fast charging. Now, the key specifications of the Vivo iQOO Z1x phone have now been shared by two Weibo sources.
The iQOO Z1x, as we already know, will pack a 6.57-inch LCD screen that has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and will come with a 5,000mAh battery. However, the fast charging will be downgraded to 33W which is still impressive.
Present leaks reaffirm these specs and also reveal that the device will have a primary camera with a 48-megapixel sensor. The smartphone is also tipped to come with an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage combo which is very important for a game-oriented device.
As you would recall, the iQOO brand is focused on gaming smartphones. However, there was no confirmation of whether the storage will be DDR5 RAM + UFS 3.0. Alternatively, Vivo might just go for the less speedy and cheaper DDR4X and UFS 2.1 storage.
The big question now is the price. The 8GB/128 GB model of the iQOO Z1 cost around CNY2,498 (Php17,700/$350/€320), while the regular iQOO Z1 cost around CNY2,198.
The price range of the Z1x is likely to be around CNY2,000 (Php14,000/$280/€250), that is if they plan to reduce price while maintaining the reliable experience the iQOO brand is known for. This price will still be considered as fair for a midrange phone, whether it is game-oriented or not.
