Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have teamed up with Tencent’s TiMi, a well-known developer of popular mobile games like Call of Duty: Mobile to create this new Pokemon mobile game.

Pokemon Unite is a MOBA-style co-op game that’s free-to-play for both mobile devices and Nintendo Switch console.

Just like most MOBA games, players are divided into a 5v5 battle in lane-separated maps. But since it’s from Pokemon, you can choose different Pokemon monsters as your heroes. The developers have also added twists that the celebrated franchise is known for.

Instead of destroying towers and crystals, players will have to defeat and collect enemy Pokemons in a given time limit. Collected monsters need to be deposited in five different banks within the map.

Your Pokemon will gain new skills, moves, and evolve as you advance to the game.

The release date for the Pokemon Unite is yet to be announced. As per the teaser, it’s still currently under development for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices.
