At last, after its surprise appearance on Flare day, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire is now available on CM stores. The Cherry Mobile Skyfire completes the android line-up of Cherry Mobile this Christmas so that Filipinos will have several affordable products to choose from.
So what’s new in the Cherry Mobile Skyfire? Oh well, there’s nothing really new except the elegant Nexus-inspired design. It flaunts a 4.7-inch display but unlike the Cherry Mobile Flame, it’s not qHD but rather on a WVGA resolution. The MTK6577 dual-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM will run the show again so we could expect pretty much the same performance as the Cherry Mobile Titan W500. As I’ve said, nothing spectacular but this phone sure has the punch you’ll need to run those powerful apps and games. Check the full rundown of the specs of Cherry Mobile Skyfire below.

If there’s one thing that I’m disappointed with, it’s the battery capacity. Since the 4.7-inch display is fairly huge, the small 1500mAh battery that was paired will definitely be a bad companion. I bet it can barely last a day if you’ll use it in moderate to heavy usage. Actually, the Cherry Mobile Flare sports the same battery rating and it’s having a hard time going through a day of usage.
If that shorthanded battery of the Cherry Mobile Skyfire doesn’t bother you, then you’re good to go. Otherwise, for an extra Php500, you’re better of with the Cherry Mobile Titan as it has a larger 2350mAh battery that can last up to 2 days of average usage.
somebody check out CM’s FB page — notice the Omega is gone in their timeline photo. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151125012147443&set=a.10150617700117443.377426.269510017442&type=1 . Could it be that Omega will never see the light?????
Yeah, we noticed it too. I think it will go out early next year since the current line-up this holiday season is strong enough.
yeah maybe that’s the reason….oh well that translates to more weeks of waiting, waiting, waiting….hope all this waiting will be rewarded with a great low price hehehe. are you listenin’ CM?
