It hasn’t been a while since OPPO released the newest Reno3 series in the Philippines. While locally, the Chinese smartphone maker is still pushing for the Reno3, an alleged photo of the OPPO Reno 4 has already circulated online.

The image came from the Weibo page of Ice Universe, a well-known leaker in China. It shows a large “Reno4” merchandising material suggesting that the new device will support a 5G network. Meanwhile, the photo shows two smartphones with an unusual quad camera setup. At the back are three protruding and independent lenses. This is different from other OPPO products in which the rear cameras are placed in a rectangular platform.

By the looks of it, the OPPO Reno4 is like the new LG Velvet. If indeed the smartphone in the photo is Reno 4, we expect that it will be cheaper than the LG Velvet.

The photo also shows that the OPPO Reno 4 will come in white and black colors. But since OPPO loves to release different colors on a different schedule, expect that more variants will be available. Moreover, the device is likely to come in an edge display just like the high-end OPPO Find X2 Pro.

Given that we have only seen the back part of the phone, most of the features of it are still unknown. However, given that the Reno 4 is a midrange 5G device, it most likely will come with Snapdragon 765G or a better Snapdragon 768G. We also hope that they’ll integrate a better refresh rate display, as more and more devices nowadays come with either 90Hz or 120Hz.
