Samsung Galaxy J7+ - NoypiGeeks

The leaked Samsung device that we reported the other week has now gone official. The Samsung Galaxy J7+, a new member of the J7 family, has been announced in Thailand just recently and it gains a new feature that was unlocked by the Galaxy Note 8.

It appears that Samsung really did reserve their own dual-camera technology to the flagship Note 8. But, they are making the right contrast by having the feature available on a midrange device — the Samsung Galaxy J7+.

However, the Galaxy J7+ didn’t get to have an ultrawide or a telephoto lens. What we have here are a standard 13-megapixel primary camera and a secondary 5-megapixel shooter. The secondary sensor is used for gathering depth information. This lets the user achieve the only Note 8 camera app feature that you can have — Live Focus. It lets you adjust the depth-of-field to the maximum, providing a bokeh effect, before or after the shot was taken.

Of course, it also has a killer selfie camera. Heck, it’s a midrange device after all. There’s a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, with a wide-aperture of F/1.9. It also supports an on-screen flash, if the front LED flash is too strong for you.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy J7+ has an all-metal unibody build. This lets them directly compete with other mid-range smartphones from the likes of OPPO and Vivo. But where the Galaxy J7+ takes the lead is on the display. It has a 5.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, the same panel type seen on most high-end smartphones today. It also has the Always on Display feature, which constantly shows the time and notifications without draining the battery too much.

It’s also powered by MediaTek’s Helio P20 octa-core processor, in contrast to the Exynos 7870 that appeared on the leaks. The product’s webpage doesn’t state the actual chipset, but a report from GSMArena suggests so. The processor is backed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
