Honor-GPU-Turbo-Technology

Alongside the launch of their new mid-range smartphone dubbed Honor Play and Honor 9i, Honor has also unveiled their GPU Turbo technology made for game buffs to enjoy games longer and better. The new technology is said to improve the smartphone graphics processing efficiency of the devices’ hardware.

The GPU Turbo technology can increase graphic processing performance by up to 60 percent and reduce power usage up to 30 percent. Through this, smartphones can offer gaming performance and can play without draining the battery too much as it usually does.

In the future, the said technology will also be able to support AR and VR gaming.

These might sound good for those who owns the said devices, but it might not be as committed as it says since GPU ‘boosters’ are not new in the market. GPU Turbo relies on “hardware-software integrated GPU acceleration”, which means it’s not only software based.

GPU Turbo is currently available in the two new handsets in China, but Honor has confirmed that they will be rolling the feature out to the Honor 10, Honor View 10, Honor 9 Lite and the Honor 7X, yet still unsure when and where.
