If popular analyst Ma Jihua is to be believed, we can expect to see the first-ever Huawei smartphone running on HarmonyOS later this year.
The company is scheduled to reveal more details in the upcoming Huawei Developers Conference (HDC) happening on September 10 to 12. A new EMUI 11 based on Android 11 and HarmonyOS are expected to take the center stage.
According to previous reports, Huawei wants to run all of its future devices on HarmonyOS, including but not limited to: smartphones, computers, appliances, etc.
Huawei is believed to be pushing the development its own ecosystem similar to Apple. Previous reports said that the US is really giving the Chinese company a hard time, which resulted to the falling out with TSMC and stoppage of Kirin chipsets production.
