After the launch of the Realme 3 Pro and a lot of entry-level devices, the OPPO sub-brand is at full steam ahead as they’re expected to enter the high-end territory with the upcoming release of the Realme X and X Lite.

The announcement was made through the company’s Weibo page. Both the Realme X and a more affordable Realme X Lite/Youth are coming to China on May 15, 2019. This also means that the brand will make a comeback to its home country.

Its official specs were not mentioned. However, a teaser video shows a device with a pop-up selfie camera — which is similar to the OPPO F11 Pro.

If the Realme X is going to be just a rebranded version of the F11 Pro, we might expect a MediaTek Helio P70 to come with it, which is a little underwhelming for a high-end device.

But considering that a similarly-powerful Snapdragon 710 processor is already seen on the Realme 3 Pro, we might see something better on the “X” model.

Meanwhile, the Realme X Lite/Youth is expected to be the more affordable version. No word yet about its specs and features. But if we’re to speculate, this could be what the OPPO F11 is to the F11 Pro.
