While it’s already a few months old, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is still one of the hottest Android smartphones in the industry today. That’s an unsurprising fact considering the insanely great value that it offers for the price.

But, from what it looks like, Xiaomi is almost ready to continue its winning streak, as a Xiaomi Pocophone F2 device have already been spotted in GeekBench.

The Geekbench listing delivers really unexciting news. The Pocophone F2 will still run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, instead of the latest Snapdragon 855. It’s partnered with 6GB of RAM, although we should expect different memory and storage configurations to be introduced as well.

On the upside, it will ship with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Personally, what Xiaomi did with the Poco F1 is really hard to top. Who would have thought that you can fit a flagship-class processor in an under-Php20k smartphone?

So with the Pocophone F2, we should expect Xiaomi to focus their attention on the nitty-gritty aspects of the device.

For one, Xiaomi could really make the notch smaller by implementing the waterdrop look that the new Huawei P Smart 2019 or their own Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone have. Also, its camera system is already great, but could be better.

The Pocophon F1 was launched back in August. But in the F2’s case, we don’t expect Xiaomi to wait until the third quarter of 2019 for its release. Two separate tweets from Poco’s Indian Arm and its General Manager hints of the device’s very close imminent release.
