Rumor has it that Apple is working on another low-cost phone, the iPhone SE Plus, if a fairly accurate leaker is to be believed.

Last week, Apple surprised us with the iPhone SE 2020. It’s replacing the now-discontinued iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. While it’s a powerful phone with an A13 Bionic processor, its relatively small 4.7-inch display will leave some Apple users wanting something with more screen real estate. This is where the rumored iPhone SE Plus comes in, as a proper replacement to the iPhone 8 Plus with an expected 5.5-inch display.

Jon Presser, who leaked the arrival of the iPhone SE before Apple’s official reveal, recently tweeted he might have some news on the iPhone SE Plus soon. Leaked code strings of the upcoming iOS 14 were also found to indicate the name “iPhone SE Plus” itself.

Unfortunately, some rumors expect a launch date in 2021. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
