The startling launch of Samsung’s newest foldable smartphone brand has once again proved that they will never get tired in innovating and will never be left behind its topnotch competitors amidst the global coronavirus pandemic issue. Their Galaxy Fold 2 release is said to be the company’s response for a more affordable version of its predecessor, Galaxy Fold with its $1,980 selling price.

With a model number of SM-F916, the Galaxy Fold 2 shall feature a 256GB base capacity of the device’s internal storage. Users will enjoy its 7.7-inch screen display which is 0.4 inches larger from its older version.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will also highlight the Infinity-O selfie camera panel that is part of the newest camera technology offering of Samsung for 2020 and onwards. It’s important to note that this will be not a successor of the Galaxy Z Flip device series and it will be 30% cheaper from the former Galaxy Fold release.

Samsung will also be offering a smaller yet more advanced S Pen for its Galaxy Fold 2 devices that will come along with its 5G network connectivity, plenty of RAM and powerful processor. The rear camera of the Galaxy Fold 2 will get the same set-up that we can find from the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which is supposedly better than the Galaxy Note series.

It is also expected that Samsung will also be releasing a 512GB version of the Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone that comes along with a higher price. This will enable the company to split the launch cost as Samsung is planning to release more versions under the Galaxy Fold lineup. To make these devices mainstream, more phones are speculated to be released from 2020 until 2022. In addition, a price cut will be included in Samsung’s marketing strategy.

The official statement of Samsung shall be released around the third or last week of April regarding its availability in physical stores globally. This will also include its final price as well as its prime device specs which will surely make you want to buy it right away. However, enthusiasts are expecting its new release date in August together with Galaxy Note 20 or anytime in the third quarter of the year.
