Just a week ago, it came as a surprise to everyone when POCO announced its independence from Xiaomi. The former sub-brand established a strong presence in the midrange smartphone market when it launched its first and only device yet — the POCO F1.
To recall, the Pocophone F1 was originally launched in August 2018. It was one of the most popular smartphones to both consumers and tech-enthusiasts because of its insane pricing. It came with a flagship Snapdragon 845 with massive 6GB RAM for a price below Php20,000. And just recently, it has been upgraded to the latest Android 10 operating system.
Since the announcement, the next question now is when is the launch and release date of the upcoming POCO F2?
Unfortunately, it seems like fans will have to wait a little while for POCO’s upcoming flagship killer. In a recent interview with POCO India General Manager Manmohan, he confirmed that the POCO F2 will not be launched in February. Instead, they will unveilanother device next month.
In addition, POCO also posted on Twitter stressing to fans not to believe in rumors. In the same post, they also attached an official statement with regard to the launching of a new phone next month. It is expected that the brand will release three smartphones this year including the POCO X2 and POCO F2 Lite.
