It’s now clearer than ever: POCO X2 is just an identical twin of the Xiaomi Redmi K30.

Even after declaring that they are now an independent brand, POCO is still not yet ready to be on its own.

The company has released a new teaser which reveals some information about its upcoming smartphone, the POCO X2. Now that the design has been unveiled, there’s no longer doubt that it’s a rebranded version of the Redmi K30.

As you can see from the video, it’s obviously a purple Redmi K30. It’s also worth noting that the camera orientation and side-mounted fingerprint scanner are the same.

But that’s just on the outside. Specs-wise, we’re still not sure if there’s going to be changes under the hood. According to previous reports, it is believed that the POCO X2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G — the same processor running on the Mi Note 10 and Realme X2. It will also feature a 120Hz refresh rate display, which will be a first in the midrange market.

There will be a 6GB RAM + 64GB model of the POCO X2 and it’s priced at Rs 18,999 or approximately Php13,500. Several other configurations are expected to be available, although we don’t have concrete information about them yet.

The official launch of the POCO X2 is happening on the 4th of February.
