It appears that Huawei is really ready to introduce their very first foldable smartphone.

During their 5G event back in January, the Chinese tech company teased the foldable smartphone that they will be unveiling at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona.

And now, Huawei is stapling that declaration by outing a teaser photo of the said device in their MWC 2019 invite.

The image posted on their Facebook page shows a device folded in V-shape. This could mean that the Huawei 5G foldable phone will fold from the middle. That’s an identical implementation that what Samsung have been teasing us for years.

Xiaomi also showcased the same foldable smartphone concept, but with the creases placed on each sides.

Other than its unique design, Huawei’s upcoming product will also brag powerful internals. As stated earlier, it will have 5G connectivity, which is being enabled by its Balong 5000 5G modem. A homage to the event’s “Connecting the Future” tagline.

It shall also come with the powerful Kirin 980 processor. The same chipset found on the flagship Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Clearly, Huawei will use in-house hardware for their latest smartphone as much as possible.

Huawei’s big MWC 2019 event will happen on February 24 in Barcelona at 14:00 CET.
