Xiaomi is gearing up for the release of their next gaming smartphone — the Xiaomi Black Shark 2.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is the more proper sequel to the first version last year. Sure, the Black Shark Helo brought some refinements, but with this one, we’re expecting a lot of proper upgrades in terms hardware, and hopefully, the design.

A previous leak suggests that the Black Shark 2 will be upgraded to the more current Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship processor and will come with a whopping 12GB of RAM. This is going to be another Snapdragon 855-equipped smartphone right next to the Vivo iQOO.
An AnTuTu listing also says that it will have an FHD+ resolution screen with 2340 x 1080 pixels. But in here, the device only had 8GB of RAM instead of 12GB, so there’s a chance that it will arrive in different memory and storage configurations.
And since we’re here, let’s talk about the benchmark scores from these apps. In AnTuTu, it garnered a score of 349,973, while in GeekBench is has a single-core and multi-core scores of 3,494 and 11,149, respectively.
A company executive also claims that the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 will feature a new Liquid Cool 3.0 technology for better thermal management. The fast-charging is also upgraded to 27W, from the 18W that its predecessor has.
Xiaomi will be revealing the Black Shark 2 this March 18. And hopefully this time, it will officially arrive in the Philippines, complete with local ROM and sales support.
