Xiaomi is ready to finally introduce their new entry-level smartphones, the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro.
Both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro will be under the Redmi sub-brand. And as expected, they will come with appealing features that will defy their price category.
Not a lot of details about these devices have been revealed. However, Xiaomi’s official teaser for their release said that the Pro model is going to be the first device to come with a 64-megapixel primary camera.
If you remember, Xiaomi teased this latest camera technology a few weeks back, together with the 102-megapixel cameraphone that will be coming out later this year.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro will be the first to use this 64-megapixel GW1 ISOCELL sensor from Samsung. It has features like ISOCELL Plus for better colors, Smart ISO, and Hybrid 3D HDR.
In a full 64-megapixel mode, you can print pictures with a resolution on 9248 x 6936, great for posters and bigger prints. However, it will have a whopping file size of 19MB.
The device will then utilize pixel-binning technology for brighter and better 16-megapixel pictures.
Further details about these devices are unknown. However, a previous leak suggests that the vanilla model will have a plastic-like shiny back panel, with a dual-camera setup, fingerprint scanner, and the Redmi logo located vertically on a single island.
The device will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor, 4GB/64GB combo, and a generous 5,000mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s design is similar to the Mi 9T. It will also come with a triple camera setup on the back and a fingerprint scanner, a similar outline to the vanilla model.
We shall learn more about these devices once they go official on August 29.
