Antutu, one of the most used benchmarking tools worldwide, has released a list of devices that garnered the highest scores in their platform. The Antutu Top 10 list for May 2017 can be a reference for folks who are fishing for a device with the best performance possible.
Leading the race is the HTC U11. Other than its “Squeeze” feature, this handset brags the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, a chipset that is poised to also power Windows machines. Taking the second spot is the iPhone 7 Plus, which is equipped with Apple’s own A10 Fusion chip. On the other hand, the smaller iPhone 7 is down at the 6th spot. The current Apple flagship used to dominate the list on September last year.
Taking the third seat is the flagship from China — the Xiaomi Mi 6. Behind it is the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, taking the fourth and fifth spot, respectively.
Antutu Top Ten list for May 2017
1. HTC U11
3. Xiaomi Mi 6
6. iPhone 7
7. OnePlus 3T
8. OnePlus 3
10. LeEco Le Max 2
We’re not surprised of the handsets that were able to make it to the list. However, quite a number flagships from other known brands failed to reach the top 10. For one, LG’s G6 wasn’t able to make it to the cut.
The new OnePlus 5 was also disregarded, but it was because the statistics were garnered before it was officially released. But considering that its brothers are there, we can expect it to be included in the next curated list.
Antutu collected at least 1,000 data sample for each smartphone from May 1 to May 31, 2017 to come up with this list.
