apple-iphone-8-event

Earlier this week, the date for the next Apple event has been leaked. Fast forward to today, Apple has confirmed it themselves as they now sent out invites for their event happening on September 12.

Many reports suggest that this wouldn’t just be the iPhone 8 launch. As per the rumors, the event will also stage the launch of the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which will be updated with a glass back panel to finally support wireless charging.

We can also expect the iPhone 8 to have the same feature. It’s also rumored to have an edge-to-edge screen, 3D face recognition in lieu of a fingerprint scanner, Blush Gold color variant, and an out of this world 512GB configuration.

It’s also expected that Apple will release a 4K Apple TV as well as an updated Apple Watch with LTE connectivity.

We can also expect Apple to mention the iOS 11 and High Sierra updates on this event. Other Apple products teased on their event last June such as the iMac Pro and the Homepod are expected to debut as well.

The invitation is pretty vague and it doesn’t provide any hint of what Apple might announce on that day. All it has is the sentence “Let’s meet at our place.”, as this is the first event that will be held in the Steve Jobs Theater inside their new Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. We’ll learn more about it on September 12.
