Popular chat application Discord and tech giant Samsung has partnered up in order to create the ultimate mobile gaming experience.
Samsung is currently working with Discord in integrating their popular feature for gamers, which is real-time text chat or voice chat, in the Samsung Game Launcher. The team-up was announced at the official launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.
If the integration proves to be successful, mobile gamers will now be able to talk to their friends and teammates while playing their game. If you’re a competitive player who has plans to eventually go professional, this added feature is good news for you.
Along with real-time text and voice chat, users can also join several gaming communities. Gaming Communities are very important to the overall Discord experience. Players can talk about their favorite games, talk strategy or simply hang out.
This partnership is Samsung’s way to load up on significant gaming features and become the ultimate gaming smartphone. Other competitors like the Black Shark 2 and the Asus ROG Phone II are also loading up ammunition with the same goal in mind.
Mobile gaming is still on the rise. This is thanks to popular mobile games such as Mobile Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG: Mobile. Speaking of PUBG: Mobile, it’s reported to have around 100 million players and was able to bring in USD146 Million in the month of May alone! Talk about powerhouse.
This is a good move for Samsung as they get a significant part of the gaming market. Their hope is that gamers will pick up a Samsung smartphone instead of the other brands as they provide convenience and proper integration of Discord on their phones.
