How to check if my PLDT account has been disconnected?
Well, this one is pretty easy to check. If you’re trying to connect to your PLDT connection, and you can’t get in or have been redirected to the payment page, that means that your account is currently on hold or your internet is disconnected until you settle the payment.
How long before my PLDT internet gets disconnected?
PLDT hasn’t stated an exact grace period for unsettled accounts. However, based on our experience, it only takes a couple of days (less than a week) past the due date for our PLDT Fiber internet to be disconnected.
How to request internet reconnection from PLDT
After paying your bill, there are a couple of ways that you can request for PLDT to reconnect your internet. We’ll detail some of the main ones below.
via social media
Step 1: Start a chat with PLDT Home on Facebook Messenger. Under Terms and Conditions, click “I Accept”.

Step 2: When asked if you’re an existing PLDT subscriber, tap “Yes.” Get your PLDT account number and telephone number ready, then click “Proceed.”

Step 3: Hit “Billing Services” and click “Request Reconnection” afterward.
via PLDT hotline
Here’s a method we find extremely fast and convenient. You can use your PLDT landline to dial the company’s 171 hotline.
The automated reply instantly detects that your account is on hold and will ask you if you’ve already settled your payment. If you already did, just press “1” and you’re good to go. The support says that the internet reconnection could take up to 2 hours, but there are times when we got reconnected much faster.

How long before my PLDT account is reconnected?
After you reached out to PLDT through social media or its hotline, you just have to wait for up to 2 hours before your internet reconnection is processed. If you still don’t have internet, you can try turning off your modem or router, wait for about 5 minutes, then turn it back on again.
If you’re still having issues, you can also reach PLDT’s customer service.
How much is the PLDT reconnection fee?
It depends. If the disconnection only lasts a couple of days, the PLDT reconnection is free. But obviously, the longer you were disconnected, the bigger the fee you have to pay.
Take note that the amount is separate from the actual unpaid bill. There’s also a 1% delinquency fee if you paid your bill 30 days after the due date.
Where can I pay my overdue PLDT bill?
To make sure your payment is posted right away and your internet is reconnected immediately, you should settle your account from the channels below as it will only take 30 minutes to 6 hours before your payment will be posted.
- PLDT branches
- GCash
- Maya
- Lazada
- Shopee
- Bayad App
- Bayad Online
- Coins.ph
- GrabPay
Will my PLDT account continue if I stop paying?
According to PLDT Home’s Terms and Conditions, the company has the right to cut service if you miss a payment. The document also says that they have the right, “subject to the limits prescribed by existing laws, rules and regulations, impose penalties or interest for non-payment of overdue accounts.”
A family member of ours had a similar experience as she failed to pay for 1 month and just left it without an internet connection. Eventually, she never settled her balance. A few months later, when she tried to reapply, she was surprised to know that her PLDT bills piled up, as her account continued even though her internet had been disconnected. This is the usual scenario especially if the customer is still within the 24-month lock-in contract.
What to do if I no longer want my PLDT internet?
If you’ve been disconnected due to an overdue bill, and you don’t plan to continue your subscription, it’s better to contact PLDT for the official cancellation and termination of your account. If the amount of your current subscription is beyond your means, you also have the option to downgrade your PLDT plan instead.
These are the things you should know and do about your PLDT disconnection and reconnection.
