After months of waiting, POCO makes a comeback in Twitter, prompting the release of a brand new phone.
The first Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has been one of the most disruptive smartphones to ever hit the industry. It’s probably the first-ever device to come with a flagship processor for under Php20,000.
What we want is another midrange device that has top-caliber specs. A flagship experience without paying for the full price of a real one. Thankfully, we might be getting closer in achieving that as more hints of a POCO F2 Pro device is starting to come out.
POCO’s official Twitter page has started posting again since May 1, 2020. The last tweet that the page posted was way back in August 22, 2019. This means that the company might be gearing for a new smartphone release, possibly the long-rumored POCO F2 Pro.
Our speculations are being heightened by a Gearbest listing, which features a masked POCO F2 Pro. The listing is basically an early promotion for the device as they’re offering USD10 discount and advanced shipping for early birds, plus, a chance to win an extra F2 Pro unit.
It shows the outline of the device, which looks similar to the Redmi K30 Pro.
The listing also teases that the device will sport up to an 8GB/256GB of RAM and storage configuration. It’s highly plausible that the F2 Pro will be powered by a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor.
It will also have a bezel-less screen, which was possibly achieved by hiding the selfie camera on a pop-up mechanism on the top. On the back, we have a rounded camera bump, just like the Redmi K30 series. The listing also highlights the POCO F2 Pro’s fast charging, possibly at 30W much like the Mi 10.
On the downside, the official release date for the POCO F2 Pro is still not mentioned. We’ll be providing you with updates once they’re available, so stay tuned for that.
