Vivo takes first three spots in AnTuTu’s best performing flagship smartphones list

Chinese benchmark software, AnTuTu, recently released its newest top 10 ranking of flagship smartphones for January 2020.

It wasn’t surprising that models powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 dominated the list.  However, this time, Vivo took the spotlight with three of its smartphones at the top.

The Vivo iQOO Neo topped the list with 504,796 average points. Followed by iQOO Pro 5G with an average score of 502,288 and Vivo NEX 3 5G with 498,223 points.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7T Pro and One Plus 7T took the 4th and 5th places respectively. Other models included in the list are ASUS ROG Phone 2, Realme X2 Pro, Honor V30 Pro, OPPO Reno Ace and Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G.

Notably, only Honor V30 Pro and Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G were on the list who did not use Snapdragon 855 processor. These two devices instead use Huawei’s proprietary Hisilicon Kirin 990 chipset.

In addition to the list of high-end devices, AnTuTu also included the top 10 performance ranking of midrange smartphones. This time, OPPO Reno3 took a huge lead from the second-placer, Vivo X30 Pro. The list also showed how the Mediatek Dimensity 1000L-powered Reno 3 defeated the Snapdragon 765G-packing Pro.

AnTuTu meanwhile indicated that software boosters played a huge part in the test. For both Vivo iQOOs phones, liquid cooling has been present. This feature helps in the performance of smartphones when under high temperature.

Likewise, it is important to note that the list was only done with the raw comparison of performance results. This, however, does not indicate the ranking for cameras, design, battery capacity, and fast charging abilities.
